Movie Review: Jenny, Juno

Jenny, Juno (2005)
2/5 <3s

OMG! and WTF!?!  This movie made being a pregnant teenager (possibly, pre-teenager) look absolutely fun and glamorous!  I mean, if Jenny, Juno had the tiniest resemblance to real-life, hell, we'd all be begging to get knocked-up in middle school, having super-happy-fun time with our cute boyfriends, and being the most popular, enviable kids on the planet.  Another big break from reality in this movie is that the girl never manages to look pregnant.  She's a skinny little thing the whole time.  Even when being wheeled into the delivery room, she had the most insignificant little bump.  Though innocent enough in overall tone, I'm not sure if I'd want my kids watching this.  It might give them the wrong idea!  This movie had all the cuteness expected from a Korean rom/com and did have some humorous charm, and for that it was not entirely dull.  What killed it was the complete lack of reality which gave the story line and characters little depth.  Starring Park Min-ji and Kim Hye-seong, this movie is available streaming on Netflix.  It can also be found as Jeni, Juno.
